Sarah Fenner's Will

I, Sarah Fenner being weak in body but of sound and
disposing mind viewing the uncertainty of life do make
and publish this my last will and testament in the manner
and form following (to-wit)
First and principally I commit my soul to God who
gave it and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my friends.
2nd It is my will that my daughter Harriet E. Fenner
shall have my new bureau and the best-bed and bedstead and
the usual quantity of clothes to fit-it-out.
3rd It is my will that Rachel A. Fenner my second
daughter shall have the second best-bed and bedstead and
the usual clothes and that Josephine E. Fenner and Selina D.
Fenner my two remaining daughters shall have the two re-
maining beds and clothes.
4th It is my will that my four above named daughters
shall have one cow.
5th It is also my will that after my funeral expenses
and all my just debts are paid that the remaining part
of my household and kitchen furniture together with my
carriage and mare and side saddle and other stock and
grain and farming utensils shall remain on the farm
for the use of the family as it has heretofore
been.
6th I hereby appoint my two sons Erastus and
Charles W. Fenner to execute this my last will
and testament and one or both of them together to do
the trading and manageing of the farm as long as they
shall live together as a family.

We Abraham Lowman and William
C. Rayburn subscribing witnesses to the last will and
testament of Sarah Fenner, late of said County and State
deceased, hereunto annexed, after being duly sworn in
open Court the 22nd day of December A.D. 1852 depose and say that
we were present at the execution of the last will and
testament of said Sarah Fenner, deceased, that we
saw the said testatrix subscribe said will and heard

her publish and declare the same to be her last will and testament
and that said testatrix at the time of executing the same was of
full age and sound mind and memory and not under any restraint
and that we signed the same in her presence and at her request as
witnesses and in the presence of each other.
